Ancud is located on the Chiloé Island, southern Chile, less than 100 km from Puerto Montt.
To get to Ancud, you need to take a bus or traveling by car from Puerto Montt to Pargua where you have to cross Chacao Channel on a ferry to reach the island. From there, you drive 30 km to get to Ancud.
